Martin Datler

Project Leader, R&D, Water Treatment Technology Group ETT-W, OMV

Biography

Martin Datler joined the R&D Department of OMV in 2018. Before joining OMV he worked as postdoctoral researcher at the Technische Universität Wien, Austria, in the department of Physical Chemistry (Faculty of Technical Chemistry) after passed the Teacher Training Program (Chemistry and Physics) and the ensuing Doctoral Program in Natural Sciences (Technical Chemistry) with distinction.

Joining OMVs New Technology Department in the Water Treatment Technology Group ETT-W  changed his research focus from fundamental research in the field of Technical Chemistry to applied research in the area of Produced Water Handling. His background supports the analytics for water characterisation and the piloting of new Water Treatment Technologies. Currently he is leading a project to find a suitable online monitoring tool for produced water to measure both, Oil In Water (OIW) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS), simultaneously. Besides that, he is also involved in various projects, e.g. studies dealing with the optimization of filter technologies and injectivity studies.
