Matthieu Jacob

Water Treatment R&D Project Leader, TOTAL

Biography

Matthieu holds a PhD in process and environment engineering from the INSA, in Toulouse. He joined Total in 2010 to head up the water treatment R&D team at the PERL (Platform for Experimental Research in Lacq). He has been working on a wide range of topics within his field of expertise (membrane processes), but also in various domains relating to water treatment (adsorption, filtration, biological and chemical oxidation processes, etc.), both for R&D purposes (lab studies, site pilot studies, etc.) and as part of assistance to the different Total branches (E&P, R&C and GRP, particularly).

Matthieu recently took on the responsibility of the water treatment R&D sections, where his mission will be to organize all R&D carried out on water, giving it a cross-functional and cross-branch dimension, as encouraged by the new cross-functional HSE entity.
