Biography

Dr. Joachim Nöller studied chemistry at the J.W.Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, where he received his PhD in biochemistry. After his postdoctoral period at the S.C. Johnson Medical Research Centre of the Mayo Foundation (Scottsdale, U.S.A.) and at the University of Saarland (Homburg, Germany), he spent over 13 years working in technology transfer and business development for two biotechnology companies and for the University of Leipzig. In 2010, he moved on to the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig to join the staff unit of the Scientific Management for Centre Development and Scientific Controlling, before taking over as Head of the Department of Knowledge and Technology Transfer in 2015.
